A few students from Ms. Candland's Comparative World Governments course had a tour of the polls on Election Day with Bath's City Clerk, Darci Wheeler. They learned the entire process of voting--including how to register on the same day, how ballots are stored and kept secure, and that some groups collect signatures on Election Day for ballot measures they hope to get on the ballot in the future. Students had great questions and saw how easy and quick it is to vote in Bath! Many thanks to Darci Wheeler for taking the time on such a busy day.

Many of our programs will be using the greenhouse including the Functional Life Skills class, some science classes, and our Gardening Club. Check this out! Hannah Keller, Isla Polizotto and Rose Strelneck have won the distinguished honor of an all expenses paid trip to France for the international ceremony of the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Three teams in New England were selected for this honor in the French American Friendship contest, sponsored by the Consulate General of France in Boston. Hannah, Rose and Isla shared their love of art by painting an interpretation of a mural in Paris originally and collaboratively painted by an American and French artist through the FAMA project. Congratulations and enjoy your trip! 🎉

On Tuesday, March 19, the Class of 2027 traveled to Bowdoin College to participate in Morse High School's annual Freshman Awareness Day. This day featured four presentations by Ed Gerety, Jason Tardy, Mae Winglass (Class of 2018) & Dr. Breiner, and the organization Students Empowered to End Dependency (SEED), all of whom touched upon aspects of leadership, hard work, discipline, motivation, the dangers of substance use and making good choices, and healthy lifestyles. The students ate at Smith Union on the college campus and were treated to a pizza lunch provided by our wonderful cafeteria staff. Upon returning to the high school, students engaged in group discussions relating to the content of the messages that the speakers delivered.
