RSU 1 is facing another challenging budget situation with decreased revenues and increased costs. It is projected that the district will need to reduce the 2012-2013 budget by approximately $1,000,000. Considering the current budget is approximately $25,000,000, this will represent a significant reduction that will affect programs and services. The RSU 1 Board of Directors has developed a budget survey, similar to last year, and we would ask that you take a few minutes to complete this valuable survey. Your input is valued and the Board of Directors hopes that you will continue to be involved throughout the budget process. The deadline for completing the survey is Thursday, January 31st. Please note that this survey will only allow one respondent from an IP address. If multiple people in a household want to complete the survey but do not have access to additional computers, please visit or call the RSU 1 Central Office where your responses can be recorded manually. Thank you in advance for completing this survey.

This letter is to inform you that Morse High School has decided to utilize drug sniffing dogs in the near future because of concerns related to drug possession, use, and distribution on school grounds. The school district is partnering with the Bath Police Department and Sagadahoc Sheriff's Office to bring a canine unit onto school grounds. This is a proactive effort to promote a safe and drug-free environment at our school.
